Make a mask at home! *portion changed*

Still wearing my contact lens, had it on my eyes since 8pm. I'm 'smart' enough to drop my one and only one spec to the optic shop for repair and left hurriedly to send my brother back and forgot about that until.....10pm. Shop already closed. -.-

It was raining this morning when I woke up and I felt utterly comfortable. I don't wanna leave my bed and I sincerely hoped I can stay for few more days. This is how lazy I am.
The cozy and pleasant ambiance caused by the pre-Monsoon season made me fell deeply in love with my hometown. In addition of the holiday mood I'm having. It's really nice u know, like autumn but Malaysia version. Wonderful.
And my wish came true!

Today is Monday right, I supposed to go back to KL today. At noon harn wei drove me to my ex school, SMART, picked up our STPM certificates and then lunch then planned to go to bus station to purchase my ticket.
During the lunch, I made some calls to my college buddies I realized I have one class on Wednesday and lucky me, WEDNESDAY IS HOLIDAY!
That means I can stay in Kuantan for few more days! Yaaaaaaaaaay!

So I spent the entire afternoon with harn wei and yun chian. We went ECMall, randomly walked in Padini Concept Store and came out with shopping bags. I love spending time with them ;)
Goh harnie, we like you just the way you are (want me to sing the song for u?) , so don't carry too many thoughts on you kay? Eventually it'll become a burden and you will not feel good on that.
要有理想的活在当下!

Come back to the topic,

Anyone of u remember our dear Meei Siew likes to pronounce cucumber funnily as CU-CUM-BER (read it with Bahasa Malaysia)? Her sense of humour is superb.

Traced back to few days ago, my brother had his tennis competition and he was exposed under the hot sun for hours. When he came back we was pretty shocked by his face condition as his pimple looked angry red and swollen. Not to mention that he is tanned.

He was worried about his pimple so I suggested to cover it with sliced cucumber. But then mom said it was a wrong act as there's something inside cucumber which is inappropriate to apply directly on your face.
Referring to a book, we made a mask with cucumber. Brother as white mice.

Then the next day brother asked for it again. Surprisingly, the pimples seemed cooled and calm down, the overall complexion is fairer and the pimple scars are reduced! W.O.W
No wonder he wanted it again and that's why I decided to share it here.

Ingredients are easily available and it's so easy to make!

CUCUMBER
EGG WHITES
FLOUR
LEMON DROPS

That's all! Simple, not?

Steps for a portion of one.

First step :
Mash half sticka quarter of fresh cucumber. You may blend it with blender. Make sure it's mashed until no visible big particles are seen. Smooth one.

Second step :
Add in flour. About 3/4 5/4 (to make the texture more dough-ish) of the quantity of cucumber. Don't have to be very exact. You agak agak lah. Gaulkan / Mix the mixture with chopstick or fork.

Third step :
Add in one egg whites and few drops of fresh lemon juice! Roughly squeeeeeze it will do! Mix mix mix.

The end mixture should be in light green with some cucumber small particles ;)

Apply it on your clean washed face. Can apply toner before that for better absorption.
After like 20 minutes, wash it completely, pat your wet face with towel and ta-da, feel the changes! Level of effect may differ individually!

Changes like : Fairer, smoother skin, less wrinkles, pimples scars is lighter.
Aren't these effects are what you are hoping from your skin care all the time?

Keep the extra in fridge if you dont want to waste, if not, just discard it.
Apply it every two day if you're hardworking enough! I personally think this mask is okay for sensitive skin as there's no chemical among the ingredients.

I'm so happy and satisfied with it so I'm now sharing it here with you! Try it! No harm pun.

;)

My birthday post should be after this because I'm in the process of collecting photos ;)

happy birthday to my brother

happy birthday eu chen~ don't know you'll see this or not. anyway, typing these words here because jie jie shy to tell you face to face.

My baby brother is now someone half-a-head taller than me, half-a-size thinner than me, and half-a-tone darker than me. A total contrast to the baby where I used to carry in my arms, little and tiny, chubby and round, fair with rosy cheek. Yes the baby was him. He was the cutest baby I've ever met. He melted everyone around him easily when he smiled and giggled.

Within a blink of eye, he is already 16 years old. A teenager and adult-to-be.

Happy Sweet 16. You're a very lucky boy, borned in a happy family where everyone loves you very much. Do remember always that we love you. That's how all the extra concerns, complaints and advices come to you. Maybe sometimes you do not like it, but in the end that's all for your own good. And that's what made you healthy physically and mentally. I'm very glad that you took most of the advices.
Comparing my 16 years old and your 16 years old, you're way more mature than how I was. One similiarity I can think of is w

What we are hoping is you will become someone with high social value. My definition of high social value is someone able to contribute to his family, responsible to his parents and make changes to the society. Not certainly rich or powerful (by doing filthy things.)

This photo was taken when he is 12 years old. I felt that it's just yesterday.

I actually have blur memories of him during from his 7 years old to 15 years old. Maybe that time I was busy with my own stuff because I was in my teenage-hood. I was trying to remember our memories during that time but I can't really picture something in my mind.

hehe.

Anyway, we surprised him with a cake after he came back from tuition and sang happy birthday loudly and cheerfully! (look at my dad, hahaha, so kua chiong!)

Although after the song he said something unrelevant to the surprise but I know you're very happy. Shy to express your feelings mah.

Happy Birthday my boy! Enjoy your sweet 16 !!!!

(thank you for being sooooo nice and caring to my rabbits!)

his birthday was on 3rd August 2010. Posting this ahead of other post (actually it's 2 days late and today is my hot mama's birthday!) I am very lazy to blog lately!!!! Follow my twitter or facebook is even better! Trust me I have more than 10 drafted post and they're still in draft! I have no intention to continue them. GAH. I really hope this week the blogging mood will be back. As many bithdays and events happened. The post to be written is piling up! I actually forcing myself to blog constantly because I want to, at least, keep something going on. Not because I thought people want to read my blog. Nothing nice to read in my blog as this blog will not be something revealing my personal feelings directly. Only blog about happy things, emo emo stuff only came out once in a blue moon.

You're still around us, right?

I can vividly remember every details the day you left us, even though it has been half a year. What I was doing, who I was with, how I was told, and where I was. Finally I get to see you on your death bed, who was with me and what I was told. I grew up with you practically. And it's hard to believe that you're not here anymore. You're no longer there to talk to me. In the last moments of your life, you can hardly hear nor see us. That doesn't matter because you know who is talking to you and you are always smiling.

It has been half a year since you left us. Oddly, until now I don't really accept the truth that you're already gone in reality. Most probably is because you still constantly appear in my dream. (INCEPTION?! dreaming someone who's dead and thinks she's still alive)

In my dream, you're always doing the same thing and I think that's the best memory I had of you. You know how much I misses your food?
That is why I keep picturing them in my dream.
That is, you're cooking for me.
Something delicious and I know my tastebuds will LOVE it.
Of course, I miss you too.

I know I'll be missing you forever, so to me, you're always around, you hasn't leave.
Rest in peace my dear.

Love you.

Mother's Day

A day for you to show your appreciation. Don't show your how grateful you are to have her in your life only on that day, do it everyday.

A rose from the florist as a thank you gift for purchasing 6 bouquets of carnation from her, thank you goh harn wei for accompanying me.

Had a small family gathering on Cherating Steak House.

Nicely decorated cakes from Chocolate Cake House.

My Wai Po, my mom and my aunts.

Mom & Daughters

Ee Kie with the instant photo of baby lewis and her.

Less words with photos.

=) As I carried few bouquets of flowers from the car and in the house, she thought is hers. I told her none of it was hers but the rose. She was lil bit down and sad. I then surprised her with flowers on the morning of Mother's Day and made her day.

Thank you mom for being so supportive all the time. Sometimes she's like a kid entertaining us and doing silly stuff, sometimes she's like a lion roaring at us whenever she isn't in good mood or we being naughty and rebellious, sometimes she's like a mom that give advices, sometimes she's like a teacher teaching me everything about beauty and health care. My mom plays many roles. I'll write one on her birthday.

Hmmm. I'll write a letter to her one day, a long one, to tell her how grateful I am to have her as my mom. She's the cutest mom ever <3

Wai Po Jia

Last Saturday, I was at my grandmother's house with my mother.
It was a warm and relax afternoon. The sun was much gentle that day, plus the light breeze, everthing is almost perfect if there's smooth jazz song playing in the air.

Couldn't appreciate this afternoon more as Kuantan had been an oven for the past few days.

Darling little pink flower blooming on the starfruit trees.

Starfruits wrapped in plastic are about to ripe.

Fresh starfruits! My after dinner dessert are these. I even have fresh starfruit juice on the next day!

This dried logs were big rambutan tree with thick layers of leaves, tall and wide, huge enough to shade the big house. Uncountable bunches of ripe, red rambutan hanging on the tree waiting for us to pluck. Plucking those round, sweet and juicy rambutan with my family member is one of the memorable moments of my life. Imagine you can break the shell once it fell from the trees, juicy rambutan juice pouring into your mouth on your first bite. The satisfaction you get at that moment is irreplacable, not what you can buy with money.
Now, the trees are dead. Leaves fallen and swept away. Extra logs and sticks are chopped and thrown away. The roots are still grabbing firmly the land of the backyard. Leaving this thick, solid wood log and happy memories that this tree had given to this family for few generation.

There's a pet in my grandma's house. A chameleon. I never like it before. Reptiles, ugggh.

It is the biggest chameleon I've ever seen.

Picked up a baby's cap and find it quite cute. Not sure it is Madelyn's or Melinda's (they're my uncle baby daughters). Tried to take a picture of me wearing it but it failed horribly. So I forced mom to wear it and took this pic. She wasn't aware that I'm taking picture as she was too focus chatting with my grandmother. She roared at me when she realized that. Very cute isn't she?

有着满满回忆的外婆家。尽管孩子们已经长大到外面住了,但是满满的回忆还是带不走的。

Later that night, I accompanied mom to Tzu Chi's Charity Musical Show. Not bad though.

Although is just 24 hours

I spent my last weekend in Kuantan, even though it is just 2 days and 1 night, 1 day to be exact.
Many of you asked me :"Why you want to rush yourself here and there?"
Even my mom said the same thing to me, which I was quite upset with it.

I miss you, mom, don't you want to see me too?? It has been a month since I last saw you and daddy. Yes I'm a family person, and very dependent on them. Remember when I first came to kL, I had heavy homesick and I went back to Kuantan frequently (about one week once!)
Oh, and lim eu chen, my baby brother, even though he doesn't show his excitement every time I come home, probably thinks I am annoying because I'll make a lot of noise and disturb him >.< Besides family,
I get to sleep on my bed, in my room, and wake up listening to birds' chirping.

Not forget my darling babies.. *Rabbits have short term memory, if they don't see you always, they'll forget you. So, cannot take this risk. Must appear in front of them constantly.

I think most of you know who is this ::
The way BitBit welcomed me melted my heart completely! As her size is still small, so she look ultra cute when the sun shone on her while she is on the bright green grass. She ran to me when I'm approaching her! So rare for her to run to me so I screamed in happiness.
Having someone you love running towards you is one of the best thing in the world.

and the Queen ::

I like this photo so much.
Took a video of how tutu react to me when I called her and daddy trying to BitBit to walk.
You can't see Lilo in the video because this old lady was hiding somewhere else.

Then I carried Tutu inside the house, laid her on my lap, and I laid myself comfortably on the sofa, and watched TV.

Next, is I get to SWIM.
My favourite sport is always swimming. Best way to release my stress compiled from the assignments, tests and many other things that keep me occupied.

FRUITS! Unlimited fresh fruits at home and I don't have to pay a single cent! Somemore mummy will peel, cut and serve before my eyes!

And, I can play my piano. I don't play well in piano as I don't do difficult pieces nor try new songs. What I love about it, is the moment I am playing it.

Saturday night, I met Chern.
She was having her study break so she went back to Kuantan.
We both were craving for douphinoise potato so we went to Crocodile Rock.
When I settled down at the table, I immediately told the waitress "Douphinoise Potato" without flipping the menu. To our utter disappointment, the waitress told us the kitchen had closed and we only can order dessert and drinks. Totally cannot believe this. We looked at him with our dewy eyes, hoping there's a chance that the chef will cook for us, but, it doesn't work at all as the chef was leaving.
In the end, we had lemon cheese cake, fruit punch and banana milk shake.

It has been a long time since the last time we both sat down, talked and gossiped.
The most exciting part was when we talk about C.N Blue and Big Bang. Okay lah, I wasn't fancy about Big Bang but I do agree that they're a great group.

Coincidently the next day is Qing Ming.
We went to the memorial park to visit our dear grandmother. Hope she's doing fine at the other world ;) I keep telling her that I miss her and I love her.

Took this pic when our family was talking to the monks. He looked awkwardly uncomfortable here. My dad was asking him to stretch his leg which he found it quite hard to do.

Lastly, good companion during the journey back ;)

Now you know why I am rushing myself home even though is just for a short day?
Because there's the place where most of the things I love are there.

Am I pampered? No, right.................?

I TH
is it impossible?

Penang! Day 1!

I was in Penang on the 4th day of CNY till the 7th day! This is a 2 family trip which is my family and my aunt's family. We drove to LCCT and took a flight to Penang.

To be frank I was very unwilling to go this trip because I want to have more time in Kuantan with my friends! 3 days is so not enough!
Until the very last minute I am still thinking whether there is possibilities of not going.
Gratefully this trip turned out to be an enjoying one.

My cousin brought his 2 year old baby boy along and this kid is the key of making my trip to the level of interesting. His name is Lewis or we often refer him as Wei Han. I'll be

In Penang we rented 2 cars to do the town sight seeing without paying the taxi, and with our most helpful tool - GPS!

I strongly disagree those who criticize GPS is useless and not helpful. GPS can help you efficiently wherever you want wherever you are!!! Although sometimes the signal is interrupted by tall buildings or thick cloud and caused some inconvenience in the journey (only happens in KL).
Quote from the supplier :"With GPS, you can go ANYWHERE!" (I know some of you is nodding with agreement now!)

Took this in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf LCCT. All of us had our breakfast there.
A very pale face of mine. Result of not sleeping at the previous night.

My spec and my lappie! As you can see Im facebooking!

Bro's long long finger ;)

We reached Penang around 3pm then checked in a hotel along the Penang Road.

That evening we explored around our hotel by walking.
I read this information that Penang Road is the first road built in the British colonial era and it is main and most important road in the town. Well, the trace of history can be seen clearly. I saw aged building, old and abandoned train rails and old neighbourhood. Apparently it was a very popular, busy and prosperous area where all the business are made.

We walked down until the area around KOMTAR, which I think is the first tall building even built in Penang (so far, there's only one in Kuantan xD ).

Nothing special around the area except for this Zhou Tian Yang aquarium. This huge aquarium shop is almost like a museum. We spent more than an hour inside there. Various kind of fishes, reptiles, mammals are sold there. And also huge range of products related to aquarium.

No pictures is allowed inside there so I didn't take much. One thing amazed me in this shop is this big fish tank that has about 6 big fish in there. I first thought they are sharks but then my cousin told me it isn't.

Then I saw lot of people gathered in front of the cat, thought the cat is playing trick. Appeared that there's one pair of cat mating -.-I think the cats looked gross!

Eu Chen then led me to the section where small mammals, snakes and other reptiles are displayed together. He spent some time at the section while I was busy exploring the big fishes. What I saw is a marmot is trying to escape by digging the floor quickly and vigorously.
But...... the floor is made by glass! He'll never make it!! I saw his thing so I know it is a HE.
Anyway, I took the video and gonna post it soon!

I looked around the section, so damn horrible eh. The snake is displayed opposite the rabbits and hamsters. And their distance is about one feet wide!! The snakes must be very tempted to crawl out of its container to the hamster and mice. Big feast awaits there. Pity little rabbits, hamster and mice, have to be neighbour with their prey. Pretty sure this has scared their small heart out.

Later at night, we went to the famous hawker centre nearby Sunway Hotel.
You can get any Penang hawker food you want over there, you name it!
Although I think it is abit over-priced, but it is very delicious.
I consider the place is clean, very hawker-ish as the cement floor is rough and wet.

I didn't know this spot is famous and even marked it down in my notebook as a place we should visit after some research on internet. Was wondering why nobody ever introduce this spot on the net as it seemed so popular because there's so many customer. Some late comers have to stand aside to wait for the tables! Until later at the night, I search this thing online and the result is the same spot that I jotted down in my notebook.

Name of the hawker centre? I don't know. I don't reckon seeing any name or board except for a big green direction board "SUNWAY HOTEL <-" I simply heart the Oh-Chien! Sooooooo delicious! Just by the first bite I fell in love with it. Unlike oh-chien in melacca, they are more sticky and slimy and the taste of eggs and oyster blends together so well! Finger-licking delicious! After one big meal of hawker food, we walked to the seafood restaurant opposite the hawker centre. The adults wanted to eat crab. I refuse because the crabs were killed alive and cooked and served in front of us, like this -
Have no appetite at all.

Okay this is the end of my first day. It is short since it was only half day.

More interesting place we've visited in 2nd day. Some tourist spot along Batu Ferringhi ;)
