My day that started late.

What a sunny & HOT saturday! Yucks!
I was indoor when I took this photo, posted on facebook and said I love today's weather. But when I was out, the weather is so humid and I keep sweating!
Had yoghurt before my brunch!

Chic POP Street, a bazzar for online sellers to sell their clothes & art work. It was held at Jaya One, PJ.

Too bad miss phei yee had to go back her hometown for cheng beng if not I'd go with her for sure! And she sure can give a lot of advice one. Has everyone check out her blogshop, UN-Masqued? Selling really nice dresses and I think I'll look good in all of them if I'm 5kg lighter! That's why I'm on my diet plan now!

Back to the bazaar, most of the clothes are on vintage style. Vintage is not really my thing so I just browse through. Or maybe it is too hot so I didn't check out every booth. All I got is a long floral dress and this

Guess what is that!

I then passed by a artsy looking coffee shop, had a glimpse on the name and hey, it's 'The Bee' . I read a few reviews online about The Bee and I was like : what they specialize on honey is it? at least dessert.

Turned out they are about main courses, wine and coffee. Same thing happened, like how I ignored and forgot Cafe Barbera, I told myself I want to go there but I didn't remember where exactly it is. All I can recall is : somewhere around PJ lah.

Can I say The Bees were very packed? Kie & I found a place at the corner. Small round table, just enough for two person. We went in The Bee because we were tired and it was really hot & humid out there. I think because of the bazaar so it looked packed, busy & noisy. On normal days it'll be a great place to hang out and chill!

Kie was full so she isn't taking anything. The waitress introduced us Lemon Cheese Cake. Add-on a cappucino to go with the cake.

Well, cappucino taste fine, not impressing, cakes are tasty, it'll be perfect if the texture is smoother.
I'd definitely go back again. Because the ambience itself is cozy and like a great place to hang out. My favourite type of music were playing in the air!

Check out their cupcakes! Look so tempting! Too bad I had my lunch not long ago and the cake & coffee filled me.

Posted this photo on Instagram of ee kie posting photo on instagram. lol what a sentence.

PROMOTIONS! SPECIALS!

They have all these doodles and drawings on their glass.

That's all about The Bee. Will blog more about that after my next visit!

My night supposed to end with Korean night but something came up and I had to cancel ;)
But the night ended with Facetime with my love ones. Here's a snapshot :
heehee my bro is gonna complain if he see this.

Last but not least, one random afternoon I had tea time at Secret Recipe (I have tea time everyday, replacing supper with that.) and got this! So lovely.

Nice afternoon at Cafe Barbera

The day has been busy for her, started early in the morning and she even took her lunch light & quick. By the time she finally done with her classes and activities, it was already late in the afternoon. But she wasn't tired, because she was looking forward to what she is going to eat later, which is her favourite rich creamy pasta. The place she planned to go is located in the town which will took almost an hour to reach because it was peak hour.
The other her changed the plan and suggested to go to a place that all of them never been. Something happened on the other her that day and she totally wasn't in the mood - very, very down. She wasn't happy too, something was bothering her and she need to be pampered with food. He was stressed, and perhaps a little bit emo. And he also wanna have a rich carbonara. He said he waited for a week.
At first she felt reluctant as she really wanted that plate of pasta to heal. But the other girl was in a condition that is way worst than her. They took her suggestion because it wasn't a good time to go to the place they planned. Great coffee, dessert & sandwiches is what made that place so attractive, she said.

The other her brought all of them to a place that caught her attention every time she passed by. It wasn't outstanding. She forgot about that place even though at the moment she noticed she told herself she must visit one day, but few second after that, the thought was left far behind.

It located behind the crowded Bangsar, away from the busy streets. The name itself tells how the place is. Once she walked in, the place is filled with great aroma of freshly brewed coffee. She knew she is going to have a good time there. It was quite empty at the time, probably because that time they went is between tea time and dinner. Just 2 tables were occupied.

Delicious food never fails to cheer girls up. Note : Whenever a girl is moody, bring her to a delicate place to eat dessert. You'll definitely make her day even though it maybe just one day.

She was recommended to take the smoked salmon sandwich.

Check out the checker toast mark.
And Napoli on her choice.

He sticked to his carbornara. It was soooooooo satisfying even though she had only one bite.

And a pizza to his friend.

The other her had her favourite thousand layer cake. Indeed, the cake is orgasmicly tasty. The layers spread and melted on your tongue. Imagine that.
It put a smile on both the girls. The photos will tell u the stories.

Although she didn't have her desire food, but the smoked salmon that melted on her tongue worked the same. Her day can say is made.

And that quaint little afternoon was spent on talking and enjoying food.

Poco Homemade

Recently I picked up a part-time job in Poco Homemade as a waitress. In case you have not heard of Poco Homemade, this dainty little shop is located in a housing area in Bangsar and they're serving mainly japanese homemade food and also their famous cakes and pudding.

Getting this job is totally coincidence. Kelly told me about this shop earlier, I visited their website and saw the post that they need to hire part timer. As I already plan of getting a part time job but this job must not consume my weekends as I need to go back home, and I planned to go back to work for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I saw the post and sent an email to the lady boss, Ice (click on her name to her blog!).
Shortly I got her reply and she agreed for me to work for weekdays only because they need worker on weekdays! How nice! The pay is good and bang, I got this job as waitress!

This is the entrance of the shop. It's in baby blue!!! How you don't fall in love with this shop?

Hi, may I take your order??

The cook is the male owner's mom, she cook really delicious food. Never failed!

Comfortable and total ease ambience. Come here, sit down, online, chit chatting with your friends or just come here alone =)
as this location is kinda hidden, and most importantly, quiet and the serenity, total contrast from the hustel and bustle of the busy city. Visiting here is like a mini escapde, let you enjoy your time and let time passes the way it wants.

Music is also the key of the ambience. The owners travelled to some countries and collected quite a number of albums of indie folk music or easy listening music. With relaxing music playing in the air, how you could not enjoy the place.

Best time to be here? Afternoon ;) The place is even more lovely when the sun shone in.

A random pic, I think this lady's backview is beautiful.

Round and juicy peach! Our cook (Aunty) cut this for us and she even peeled the skin!

Their famous Tofu Cake! Seriously a must-try!

Lao Tie Ma ;)

As both owners studied art, this place is also a showcase of their artwork. Firstly, there's things like bag, passport holder and others made by lady boss. p/s : she's good in sewing things!
Then they have illustration done by both of the owners hanging on the wall!
There's even more products in her blog.

It's located in Lorong Kurau, Bangsar.

Here's a direction if you're coming from Federal Highway :: (I think it works because shen yee reached here with this!)

Before you reach Midvalley, you'll see a Menara TM.
Turn left before Menara TM, and it should be on your right.
Turn right, Menara TM is still on your right.
Go straight until you come to a cross junction.
Turn left at the cross junction to Jalan Bangsar.
There's a Abdullah Hukum LRT on your right.
Go straight until you see a Petronas station on your left and turn left.
Then you'll see China Press Newspaper on your left and then you'll reach a cross junction again.
Turn left and it'll lead you to a small road.
There's a row of old shop lot and there's where Poco Homemade located!

If you're coming from Bangsar, (this is all from my memory!) ::
Opposite Bangsar Village, there's an area named Lucky Garden.
At the roundabout, Lucky Garden on your right, go to the 12pm exit.
Go straight for some distance then you'll see a junction of your left.
Turn left into the junction, you'll see yourself in the middle of a housing area.
Go straight, turn right (dead end on left).
Then turn left (dead end on right).
Turn right (dead end on left).
Turn left until you come to a T junction with a road sign "Lorong Kurau" in front of you.
Turn left in front of the road sign and then you'll see a row of old shop lot.
And there is where Poco Homemade located!

Got it??!!!

About what food I recommend, hmmmm, can I say everything from the menu?
I can't guarantee that it's delicious because everyone has their own criteria of 'tasty and delicious'. But trust me, everything is made by heart. Woah.

Come visit this place! =) *Don't worry, the price is affordable!!!!!!!!!*

Betty's Midwest Kitchen Oink Oink !

Our very dear friend, ET, brought Soo Yee aka Arkarri Lee to this delicate restaurant which is owned by his sister's ex roommate's family. She is married to an American so the family got the recipe and came out with this restaurant.

On the way ET was telling about this restaurant :" I like their food, their mashed potatoes is awesome, my favourite, a lot of people go there, they serve porks ...."

Alllright, let's see how nice the food are !

I think we went there during March but I have no time to write it so it was delayed till now!

Don't know where it is located until somewhere very familiar came into our sight. I was told we're somewhere in Kelana Jaya. Soo Yee, Rebecca and I used to lost in this area because we wanted to go to Full House. Soo Yee was driving, we can't get the direction and eventually passed by this place for don't know how many times.

So here we are! Betty's Midwest Kitchen!

Betty, hmmmph, a cute name and when think of the name Betty, girls with thick spec, freckles, curly and messy hair came into my mind. Just like how ugly betty looks.

Was pretty surprised to see every table filled up and not a single seat is empty. Everyone looked so happy and satisfied.

We'll have to wait to be seated. There's chairs prepared for customers to wait!
Soo Yee studied the menu while waiting as she was very hungry!

As usual, ET never look normal in photos. ET what, something from outer space.

From outside, we can see the it is homely decorated. Warm yellow lightnings is the key. And also wooden table and floor. You'll have a very casual and relaxing dinning experience here.

On the left, the wall is filled with cute piggy pictures. Which obviously tells us they're serving pork, as nice as how the pictures are! Poor piggy. Looking cute in the photos but ended up delicious on the plate.

On the left, chocolate colour wall and pictures of names of different states in US are hung. Such as "Illnois", "Nebraska" and "Iowa"

Hand-written menu ! Always for what you can't find on the menu. And you can always find this in restaurant that serves nice food!

We're lucky enough that we got our table in a short while, about 5 mins.
Sat down by the table right beside the wall of piggy pictures.
The pretty waitress then handed us each a menu. I still think the waitress looked like someone from HELP.

Pretty babe over here waiting for her pretty food!

This one looks more normal than the previous one.

ET went for pork ribs, I went for Jucy Lucy, Soo Yee on diet went for soup. We also ordered Pig In A Blanket and dessert Apple Crumble.

Soup always come first !

Not bad, tasty, appetizing and filling!

ET's pork ribs. I had one small bite, barely remember how it taste like, juicy plus abit of sweetness, but I know it was good.

About the mashed potato ET highly recommended? It was so damn good! One of the best I've ever eaten.
The moment I put it into my mouth, I went like, mmmmmmmmh with eyes rolling it just melts like ice cream! The texture is extraordinary creamy and so smooth! Only it is warm. Plus the greasy sauce, perfection!
I wonder how many times they mashed it till it becomes like this.
When you're there, be sure you ask for their mashed potato!

Oh, it wasn't featured in the menu, so you'll have to ask them to change the fries to mashed potato! Don't go there can't find it on the menu and come back :"Ee loe they aren't serving that!" =)

This is Pig In A Blanket. It's just so good! When it was served, the bacon smelled so great and got Soo Yee very excited with it.

When biting it, I felt the skin cracked and followed by the soft-densed meat, and the smell of cooked bacon immediately invades and occupies your mouth. Another nice one.

What was ET telling Soo Yee?

She's looking pathetic here because she stuffed the whole sausage into her mouth and unable to chew gently like a lady.

Well in the end they didn't serve the Jucy Lucy to me as they made a mistake. I love to try it as I see there's one on almost every table and it looks freaking delicious! Unfortunately I'm way too full after the soup, whole bowl of mashed potato and the pig in a blanket, so I'll just have to cancel the order. Perhaps next time? I'll sure have you Jucy Lucy!

Lastly, Apple Crumble. Big portion, not surprising but satisfying ;)

See~ Every single plates and bowls were emptied!

ET & Soo Yee ~

3 of us ! *peace V*

Can you spot Soo Yee here ?

Awesome food, reasonable price, good service, I can't see any reason why they are not famous. Unlike usual western restaurant that we always visit, this one is a must-come!

I'd love to go there again, and this time for burgers or pork ribs!
Next time you go, bring me along k? I do not know how to go so make sure you google map first xD

This restaurant located in Aman Suria (somewhere around Kelana Jaya? I am not familiar with the place) or you can visit their website for more info!

THANK YOU ET FOR THE TREATS!

After that, we still have time so we went over BSC to visit Reetha.
Saw Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has new drinks.

Cafe Latte in bottles! All nicely packed in mini milk bottle! Sho cute!!!
They have vanilla too ;)
