An evening with Ponyo

I went for a movie again on day 2 with Alice (aka how yee chern) we've watch Da Bing Xiao Jiang.
Wang Lee Hom is the only reason we walked into the black box. His co-star is Jacky Chan, which never attracts me.

Can't say it was great but overall the movie was good. Wang Lee Hom was charming and I like the story line.
Usually the panglima story will be told in most of the ancient China war movie, but this time, the story is based on a small, hardly noticable and coward army. And he even pretend dead just to avoid to be killed by the enemies, which considered disloyal at the time. This army is played by Jacky Chan. He rescued LeeHom - a general and also a prince of the enemy country. Didn't kill him because he is going to bring him back to his country alive, so that he will get rewards from the king which is land. His wishes is to go back to his hometown alive and with honour. Somehow, friendship generated between them on the journey. And that's how things happen. In the end he released lee hom when he reached his country because he know LeeHom will definitely be killed if he brings LeeHom back. After he let Leehom go, he found out his country is attacked by other country and in the end he died. A sad ending.

Alright back to the topic!

I rushed back home after the movie because I have a date with Ponyo!
I am going to the beach with her and my aunt's family.

Wondering how can we bring dogs to the beach as it is forbidden by the MPK?
My uncle discovered this undeveloped beach - TC 3 !
Since there's no one there, so he always brings Ponyo to this free space. She can run as fast as she could and play as crazily as she wants.

My mother I followed my cousin's car, and we turned in a junction somewhere around Beserah, entered some area which I've never been, there's a super huge school there and most of the residents are Malays. Later then we were in a unpaved jungle road and they parked their car on some mud and I thought we've reached the beach.

Who knows......I still have to walk some distance to reach the nobody beach. They already told me bout this but I thought it is short. Okay, this has proven that it is untouched yet, unlike teluk cempedak.

Ponyo walk at the front as if she is the team leader and she knows the place very well.
Thank god I put on my very comfortable slippers and some mosquito repellent.

From the spot we parked our car, we walked through a shady, quiet and narrow road. The pathway is even walked out by man or maybe motorcycles. On both sides are thick and messy bushes, tall trees, and taller trees behind there. I saw different shades of green and brown, the colour of natural. Something like what you can see in Bukit Pelindung without the paved road. As we're near to the beach, I saw lots of lovely red leaves laying on the road, looked up around, trying to find which tree contributed these leaves that I thought will only appear in country with autumn, but I couldn't find. There's also some tiny skinny plants which I hardly seen around me.

It was already late evening and the sunlight is weak plus we're somewhere under the tall trees so it was quite spooky. Then I started to imagine tiger or monkey suddenly jumped out and attack us. Or perhaps there's drug addicters hiding inside there attack us and took away our money. Imaging horrible incidents makes me walk faster and faster.

I don't know how long we have walked because I was too busy looking around since this was the first time I've been there.

Finally we reached the beach and wow, this beach is magnificently cool.
It is twice as long as TC, twice as clean as TC, and I can't see any human beings except us and the dogs. I can hardly see both ends. Only the sound of the soft waves are heard.
At that serene evening, the beach is ours.

Here's my aunt and her family. My cousin sister brought her dog too. It is a hotdog dog. Eerr, I don't know the name but we always refer that dog as a hotdog.

There's two girls with two dogs. One is the hotdog-dog, his name is Figo and the another one is Ponyo.

According to them, Figo loves Ponyo even though her size is two times bigger than him. Every time when he wants to go back to Penang, he'll cry when he leaves Ponyo.
Awwww. Too bad Ponyo is spayed. If not, maybe they'll get married and have baby that is long and furry.

My uncle handed me Ponyo's leash. It was tight as Ponyo can't wait to run around. A lot of energy required. She was so excited. When I was holding her, she started to ran, I can't hold her so I ran too, but she her speed was too fast and I can't control her, I don't wanna end up dragging by her on the sand so I let her go.

Then we unleashed both dogs. Ponyo jumped into the sea and swum happily. But she doesn't favour salt water much so she came up in a short while, dried herself and continue to run around. I'm forced chase her and to run with her at her slowed down speed. Luckily I went to gym two days before and did training on jogging. If not, my leg will cramp immediately after I start running vigorously.

Figo doesn't likes water at all. My cousin sister threw him into the water, he was panic and quickly swum back to the shore.

This is Figo.

My uncle then led Ponyo to the lake which the water isn't salty for her to bath.

Paw prints of Ponyo. Looking at this I realised that she is now a grown up dog, not the baby dog I used to know anymore.
It was windy!

On the way to the lake I spotted one family of mat salleh is camping at the beach side, they even have their camp fire. Aww. I wish I could do something like this with my family. In condition that place must be zero mosquito.

Took this somewhere near the lake. Mom and aunt was far behind us. She was very tired after walking along this looong beach.

Then I witnessed something real cute. My cousin threw her Figo from higher spot into that lake and Figo was splashed into the water. It was again very panic and quickly move his legs and swum back to the shore. He then refused to go any nearer to the lake. LOL I thought dogs love water!
Ponyo was very happy when she dipped herself in the water. She swum and splashed the water, berkung-fu in the water, got up the land and jumped back. Really knows how to enjoy.

Artworks of the nature. Mini crabs formed these sand balls while they dug their tunnel under the sand. The diameter is about 4mm. Half of the beach is covered by million of these sand balls.

We left about 7.20pm as the sky is getting dark. Everyone is super tired, thristy and exhuasted after running back and forth the beach.
I'm breathing with my mouth, just like Ponyo. Ponyo is now walking slowly. I can see she is very tired too.

The evening is accompanied by laughs and smiles.
We all had great time and enjoyed watching the dogs doing something they're happy with, even though on the way back we hardly smile because we were very tired.

Although Ponyo didn't interacts with me much, and she barely recognizes me, but I'm very pleased to see the baby I once worried how well she adapted to the new family is now growing up healthy and happy, with a family that took great care of her.

Ponyo!

Remember this pic? That was half year ago.

This is the current pic. Same pose of ponyo for sticking her tongue out.
Big difference is now her ears are more pointed, tongue is longer, face is sharper and yes, BIGGER size!

Now she can't lay on my laps to take pic and I have to squat behind her. =D

And she does give me some 'gift' when I visited her.
That is two scratch mark!

Both on my right hand and it is obviously visible.

kuantan again!

In this trip back to my home sweet home, there is few task I have to complete in my to-do-list.

1. Visit my dear grandma. I walked there >.< She is 90, her ear and leg is not in good condition but she has a very excellent memory.
Our conversation is in very simple hokkien.
Main reason is because she can't talk clearly and she has difficulty to understand my broken
hokkien with her half-deaf ear.
Still, we managed to talked about her elders, her driving experience and about my studies.
=D I'm glad that she is more healthier and happier now.

2. Spend time with my babies.

Lilo is still the same.
Cleanaholic, shy and always bullied by tutu.
When tutu is disturbing me when I am watching Michael Jackson's DVD Concert in 1992, she choose to hide below the sofa and play with the tennis ball.

Tutu, the queen of the house according to my mom.
Whenever she sees I stroke, sayang lilo, she'll run towards us and chase lilo away, then come back to me for my sayang.
My mom told me she is quite fierce recently. I told her maybe she is going through hormon changes.

But Im willing to sayang tutu although she is the bullier!
There's reason why I sayang her!
When I was doing my assignment with my laptop, she came and lay by my side for accompaniment....
Last but not least, grown up Ponyo.Lol. This is a very paliah side of her!
Poo-ing at her favourite spot xD

3. Dine at Uncle Sherwood's restaurant.

Nothing much to elaborate bout this.
A very delicate place to dine, delicious food and live acoustics session.

4. Catch up with my gS.

Should be meeting with 41 and li wuen but I am late.
So they left for their movie. Sorry dear.

Congratulation Jasmine for succesfully appealed for university.
This girl is going to UKM to do Accounting!
Hope to see you around in kL yah.

Had a long chat with Jasmine and Voon Voon in car.

Voon, you are braver than I thought.
Keep it up girl, those who betrayed and cheated u,
someone is gonna hurt them back...

Bachelors, she is SINGLE!
Want her number? xD

Ker Sin brought her choco instant camera along and we had fun taking photos.
Here's all the photos,

This is mine.
Siew Bing, Mei Lin & Greenies were there too.
OMG. Greenies's face is super duper smooth and flawless!!!
I want her face!!!!!!!

5. Durian

As durian's super fans, how can I miss it!
The marginal cost of eating the king of fruits is acne/pore all over the face.
But I dont care.
Durian's is worths more than that!

Dad knew I MUST eat durian so he bought a lot for me!
Thanks dad!
6. Visit Melinda Chen.

Well I haven't meet this baby since the first day she said hello to the world!
I wonder how big is she now and how she looks like?
Unfortunately she isn't at her house when Im free to visit her.
In the end, Uncle Ah Tuck sent me a mms.
Awwwwh, melinda is chubby and she looks like her dad!

That's the end of my to-do list!

Thank you honey for this baby pink optical mouse.
muahx.
The mask is purposely placed beside it because it is also pink colour.

I spent the last 4 days of the week in kuantan!

Thursday ~ Friday

H1N1 is here! Wear your mask!
I went to harn wei's house on that night I arrived kuantan to meet her coz she is leaving to UUM on friday!

AWwwwh, I am going to miss her so much lah!

Goh Harn Wei is the friend I see and meet the most after STPM!
and we both developed a hobby during this free time -> Mahjong!!!!

We are somehow addicted and play it twice per week or stimes thrice.

Mahjung is super fun and relaxing!
It is recommended to all elders to play because it can prevent Alzheimer. We play it earlier to avoid Alzheimer in early ages. crap!
One more thing to clarify, we don't play with cash or gamble! We do play with chips but after the game, we didn't cash the chips.
It is a healthy game for us.
We spent time on mahjung and we think that is better than yc because yc have to pay, mahjong? pay petrol $ or snacks nia.

That night, x-er (she is leaving at august. sad!) , harn wei , & I , had a mahjong marathon from 11.30pm till 7am!!
don worry, we aren't that tough. We took a short break in between for harn wei to do final packing.

One of the craziest thing I've ever done.

around 5am, I visited thestar.com.my, read about news of Indonesia banned to export housemaids to Malaysia, then glance around the website.
On my left little corner, I saw a title "Michael Jackson died at the age of 50."
I ignored it because rumours of death of famous people are always coming out and it is impossible for MJ to die at that time.

X-er pursued me to click on the link, i clicked and read.
Eyes rolling big, I said :"HAR?! Serious ke?"

Quickly I went to msn.com and I saw a red banner writing :
BREAKING NEWS : MJ DIED AT THE AGE OF 50.
It was so sudden and unbelievable!
I wasn't a fans of him but I can't deny his power and impact to the music industry!
How can he die now?! I thought he have a 50 concerts coming?
He will disappoint millions of fans out there!
Someone out there, please tell me the news is fake!!!
Too bad, tmz & cnn confirmed the news. ouch....

I've prepared for the floods of MJ news in coming days & probably, weeks.
From newspaperss to websites, from radios to TV channels, from cars to malls, I will be listening & seeing Michael Jackson all the time.

Our main priority is still Goh Harnie's leaving.
Her mom woke up, surprised to see us there then she laughed and said this is what we call 分秒必争!

After a breakfast at her house, I said goodbye to harn wei with hugs and wishes!

Im sorry to other friends who is also leaving on friday for not meeting them. See you after few months k?

Went home around 7.30am & sleep till afternoon.

As I've mentioned, the rest of my days is full of Michael Jackson's songs and his news.

I had Michael Jackson phobia during my childhood. I remember my parent showing me "Thriller" music videos where a lot of horrible zombies dancing in it, it frightened me and I cried terribly.
Since that, my dad trying to tell me how great was Michael Jackson's dance especially the moonwalker, (he always try it at home), but I still refuse to watch any videos of him.
Besides that, he will talk to me how bad is MJ's speech when he got an award.
He will say : I wanna thank you my father, my mother, my bro, my sis, my (every of his relatives).
Dad is now still curious why a super star like him cannot prepare a better speech to thanks people who actually helped him to get that award.
The main point of his telling this story to us is he hope we will able to talk delicately and give nice speech in future.

R.I.P MJ, I will remember you for sure and tell your story to my children of how amazing you are.
(Until now, I am still hoping his death is fake. He is actually still alive, hiding somewhere, pretend to die just to escape the world or probably he is now living with another ID, not MJ anymore, that was his past.)

Saturday

I brought Baby Ponyo to spay!

She look normal and active when I go pick her up but after the vet put on the collar for her, she refused to walk.
Vet then explain because the collar limits her sight and she's panic because cannot see anything beside her.
Later then become sad, emo and less active!
I googled and results told me that was effects of spaying and it will disappear after few days.
See.... She look sooo sad =(
She don't understand, she did nothing wrong, why I wanna send her to an unknown place, and let stranger cut her stomach!

Recover soon k baby ponyo?

For your info, she is now staying with my auntie and her family.
I am glad she is with her because she and her family love her so much!
As I saw, they treated her like their little daughter.
I cannot provide a happy home for her, but I found one for her.
Isn't it great?

Sunday
I went to get my 2nd dose of cervical cancer vaccination injection. The last dose will be after 5 months.

Afternoon, mom fetch me back to kL. She & limiki stayed overnight in my room.

Evening, we went to Bangsar ViIIage and had our dinner at delicious.
Limiki suggested it coz she want my mom to try their food.

We then walk around, did some shopping and I bought a LBD from G2000.
Hope I can wear it for presentation xD

U know what? I did last-minute packing, and I forgot to bring back my sport shoe and some important stuff.

Lesson learned : No more last-minute packing.

Oh one more thing! Finally I get my IC & driving license done this week!
I am so satisfied with JPJ because they processed my license in 6 minutes, and they are open everyday!
Now I dont have to be afraid of road blocks, and I am no more ID-less!

So that's all for my weekend!
Finally, student of 1989 batch had officially seperate.

Miss my babies so much! I used to see them everyday but now, I can only see them in photos.

Another way is to stick their picture on the wall~
So every morning, when I opens my eye, the first thing I will be seeing is four of them!

That's great isn't it?

I don't mind the pictures are in black and white as long as their faces are there.

aaaaaaah! Miss u all so much!

Additional : One of my wishes is to go back to the morning of the day Junior lost, so that I can take care of it for whole day. I am really sorry Junior.

*updated* 28th Hong Kong Film Awards

This big event of the year will be hold tonight, 8.30pm.
Im glad that Wah Lai Toi is again, showing live from Hong Kong =)

I watch this event every year, rarely miss it.

Why am I watching this every year?
Basically I love movies and like to see those who had contributed to the film circles.
And those who are the best are honoured with the awards.

As usual they did special poster for each main category awards.

Here I share it with you :

First pic is nominees for Best Director
I watched their works except Xu An Hua's (2nd left).
My favourite will be "Red Cliff" by John Woo. As I mentioned in my past post, Red Cliff is one of my favorite movie!

RESULT : Xu An Hua 许鞍华 《天水围的日于夜》
lol. do i missed this great movie?

Next, is the fresh people, nominees for Best New Actor
Did you see Lin ChiLing? The most beautiful in the poster. my goddess !
And u see the cute little girl from CJ7?

Well, she and Lin ChiLing did well so I will be glad any one of them got the award.
RESULT :
Xu Jiao from CJ7.
well, she deserve it.
But the moment she gave her thank you speech is way too fake!

you know, she wiped her tears (did she cry?! i don think so) and closed her eyes, deep breathe, and talk. omg. it was sooo adult style!
I think someone taught her that. But she is only a child, let her react naturally!

Next, nominees for Best Actress.
Erm.. All of them are great but I don't really favour Da S (above left).
She is too fake for me! aiks.

RESULT :

Bao Qi Jing (above right) who acted in the movie which is directed by the best director.

Lastly, nominees for Best Actor.
As usual Tony Leong is again in the list although he is not in the poster.
haha, he is been nominated for too many times till he don't care whether he appears in the poster or not.
Hey Louis Koo is so handsome! Watched his Run Papa Run last week. Heee he did a great job!
But I still prefer Tony Leong.

RESULT :
Zheong Kah Fai !!! (below right)
he finally got this award! hahaha, he did a great job is many movie but non of it won a best actor award for him until this!
congratulations!
His wife, Kwan Weng Ho is still very leng lui.

Other awards :

BEST MOVIE :
Ip Man

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR :
Liew Khai Zhi
do you know him?
He is also the Dai Dong Gua. When reading through his news, I found out his 5 years old son passed away 2 years ago because of blood cancer =(

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS :
Chen Li Yun
also from Xu An Hua's movie.

As for my favourite, Red Cliff, it grabbed 5 awards.
This 5 awards are all visual and sound effect.
John Woo hired a great team to work for him in the two aspects.

Lin Chi Ling stunned the red carpet!

till here.
very soon, Ponyo is going to leave me! sad sad sad!
