Recently I picked up a part-time job in Poco Homemade as a waitress. In case you have not heard of Poco Homemade, this dainty little shop is located in a housing area in Bangsar and they're serving mainly japanese homemade food and also their famous cakes and pudding.
Getting this job is totally coincidence. Kelly told me about this shop earlier, I visited their website and saw the post that they need to hire part timer. As I already plan of getting a part time job but this job must not consume my weekends as I need to go back home, and I planned to go back to work for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I saw the post and sent an email to the lady boss, Ice (click on her name to her blog!).
Shortly I got her reply and she agreed for me to work for weekdays only because they need worker on weekdays! How nice! The pay is good and bang, I got this job as waitress!
This is the entrance of the shop. It's in baby blue!!! How you don't fall in love with this shop?
Hi, may I take your order??
The cook is the male owner's mom, she cook really delicious food. Never failed!
Comfortable and total ease ambience. Come here, sit down, online, chit chatting with your friends or just come here alone =)
as this location is kinda hidden, and most importantly, quiet and the serenity, total contrast from the hustel and bustle of the busy city. Visiting here is like a mini escapde, let you enjoy your time and let time passes the way it wants.
Music is also the key of the ambience. The owners travelled to some countries and collected quite a number of albums of indie folk music or easy listening music. With relaxing music playing in the air, how you could not enjoy the place.
Best time to be here? Afternoon ;) The place is even more lovely when the sun shone in.
A random pic, I think this lady's backview is beautiful.
Round and juicy peach! Our cook (Aunty) cut this for us and she even peeled the skin!
Their famous Tofu Cake! Seriously a must-try!Lao Tie Ma ;)
As both owners studied art, this place is also a showcase of their artwork. Firstly, there's things like bag, passport holder and others made by lady boss. p/s : she's good in sewing things!
Then they have illustration done by both of the owners hanging on the wall!
There's even more products in her blog.
It's located in Lorong Kurau, Bangsar.
Here's a direction if you're coming from Federal Highway :: (I think it works because shen yee reached here with this!)

Turn left before Menara TM, and it should be on your right.
Turn right, Menara TM is still on your right.
Go straight until you come to a cross junction.

There's a Abdullah Hukum LRT on your right.
Go straight until you see a Petronas station on your left and turn left.
Then you'll see China Press Newspaper on your left and then you'll reach a cross junction again.

If you're coming from Bangsar, (this is all from my memory!) ::
Opposite Bangsar Village, there's an area named Lucky Garden.
At the roundabout, Lucky Garden on your right, go to the 12pm exit.
Go straight for some distance then you'll see a junction of your left.
Turn left into the junction, you'll see yourself in the middle of a housing area.
Go straight, turn right (dead end on left).
Then turn left (dead end on right).
Turn right (dead end on left).
Turn left until you come to a T junction with a road sign "Lorong Kurau" in front of you.
Turn left in front of the road sign and then you'll see a row of old shop lot.
And there is where Poco Homemade located!
Got it??!!!
About what food I recommend, hmmmm, can I say everything from the menu?
I can't guarantee that it's delicious because everyone has their own criteria of 'tasty and delicious'. But trust me, everything is made by heart. Woah.
