Not just dengue. Part Two,

I'm really sorry for keep delaying this post as it had already drafted months ago! I know I should be more responsible in updating my blog because I know you are concerning me ;) Wink!

My current health state is a total contrast with I was when I'm knocked down by the viruses. I'm now healthy, jolly happy, large appetite and energetic!

I felt my parents love completely at the 8 days. They sacrificed their energy, effort, work time, probably lost some potential customer, their rest time, the trip to KK which mom didn't make it eventually, their money and a lot more. They are really wonderful and great. I wrote an appreciation card for them after that but I know that is not enough to pay back on what they gave to me.

Dad accompanied me on the first 4 days. I had fresh juices as mentioned previously. He was embarrassed to bring up the fruit juice machine so he went to Boost everyday to get it. Dad really took a good care on me and I know he tried his best because he is not really good in taking care a patient.

There's this funny incident. He bought beetroot juice and it's in dark purple colour and smells like beetroot itself. I downed it as long as it helps me. As expected, I vomited it out. Later then, I poo-ed and my najis smells really weird and it's RED. I went nuts. I'm so so so worried and think I'm gonna die. I dare not to tell my dad in case he freak out too. I had this thought that my internal bleeding has gone worst and the weird smell is caused by the antibiotics that keep dripping into my body!
It kept my awake that night. I managed to sleep for 2 hours under the influence of sleeping pill.

Second day, Dr came by and I told her all about this with a total sad look. She was furious when she heard that but then she saw the empty cup Boost on my table and she asked :"U had this? Beetroot juice?" I said yea and what I got after all the freak out thing is a laugh from her. "Hahaha, mine smells like that too after I had beetroot juice. And it's reddish." She said.
Thank god < This phrase was running all over my mind after I heard that.

Shitty beetroot, not only you scared me, you don't taste good too.

My mom was with me at the last 4 days in the hospital. I was out from ICU that time and I felt much much better. And there's when mom played her part when I started to have a lil bit of appetite back. Mom was incredible, for that 4 days, even until today, she made fresh fruit juices for me everyday. And the first time ever I felt hungry and had urge to eat was when I smelled the lotus seed and pork meat soup that cooked by her. She knew what's my favourite soup and she made it everyday. Erm, not everyday because one of the day was made by Simone! Thank you so much darling!
Mom spent 2 days shopping. I told her to do so because I didn't need a 24 hours monitor from her and she seems bored. I can watch the TV now. She made an effort on trying to make me feel better by showing me what she got for herself, being funny, and make jokes.
Mom took the better timing slot. Haha unlike dad, I can barely talk to him and he cannot watch TV infront of me because I can't stand the sound of TV. It was very irritating.

On the last two days, I got a permission from the hospital to have a home leave! Yay!!! I'm dying to leave that place!
I went back to my room, settled something and mom brought me to Bangsar Shopping Center to settle my sushi crave!
We had an incredible lunch at Kuriya. I'll talk about this restaurant in next post. The food was fab. Satisfaction is all I felt because I finished a bowl of noodles and some sushi!!! Isn't that great for someone who vomited everything for past 7 days?!

Dr. Foo is a smart doctor. She noticed some odd signs on my body and immediately did what she had to do even though it is really costy. Luckily there's AIA Insurance cover all the RM18k expenses for me. Yes, the total fee is RM18,000. *eyes rolling big*

Why I say Dr. Foo is smart because she gave me antibiotics of leptospirosis (rat-urine disease) and melioidosis starting at the 4th day. She told me these antibiotics are on the top line and there's unlikely to have new antibiotics in the next 10 years. The cost of one pack of antibiotic is jaw-dropping RM2000!!! And it's just 500mg per pack!
She said I must finish it all because there's a possibility that the virus will fight the antibiotics, mutate and become invincible virus. Supposing the dose are to finish until tuesday but mom rejected it. To her, dripping 2 different antibiotics into her daughter's body for so many days is like destroying her. She do not like antibiotics AT ALL. So on sunday, she requested to discharge at own risk. That's the end of my hospitalization in Pantai Baru Hospital!

Remember I have a lining on my left hand? I nearly fainted when they remove it. The bloods surged out and I felt the warmth of the blood. Then when they remove the cover, there's one big patch of black blood on the skin. I believed that's the blood came out few days ago.
Am I having fear on blood? I dare not to donate blood.

This picture was taken few days after the removal. Looked much better as the purple blood clot size is reduced.

I went back to Kuantan next day and I'm eating like hungry refugee. About 3 bowls of rice every meal. I kept telling my brother :" i'm hungry. I need food food food." hahaha. I lost weight after this whole sick thing and it lasted for one week. I gained back what I lost after the crazy food hunting after I gained my appetite back.

Went for some check-ups after a week. Blood test result is positive for both leptospirosis and dengue. Luckily it is negative for the deadly melioidosis. If this is your first time of seeing the word leptospirosis and melioidosis, open a new window and google what are they. They're quite common in malaysia and they are fatal if action are not taken early. And they spread easily too!

Hereby I wanna say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made an effort to visit me, gave me blessings and showed concerns via calls and msgs. XOXO!!
They brought me lovely stuffs like magazine, flowers, apples, active8 and Simmone's soup!
I returned them by showing them my palest and bloated face ever.

Father Mother I Love You (FAMILY)

Till then! So many events and happenings left out. I must put my blog back in track now!
I write this blog for myself ;) It's like a media for me to record things happened in my life among my friends, family and myself. Something that I can look back when I'm 30 40 or 50.
