My free time in Coffee Bean

There's always extra shot for customer who asked for single shot.
Usually the baristas will throw away the extra shot, now I ask them to keep it aside for me.

So what will I do during freetime is try to do LATTE ART!
I was pretty amazed by ppl who can do magnificently beautiful art on latte, only with perfectly steamed foam and milk at perfect temperature, not with the chocolate drizzle.

I tried for my very first time. A very nice malay guy taught me how to start it by making a perfect foam and pour it into the coffee cup.
However, my first time is failed badly because I can't even get the foam poured into the cup at the right time.
The cup is filled before the foam goes in.

I resurface it, did a very simple pattern on it.
Had 5 attempts in 4 days, see how is my progressment!

(I missed out number 4.)

Hohohoho, I am quite happy actually, at least it can be served to a customer.
But don't expect you can get a latte with pattern in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. They don't sell it.
It is just an entertainment for baristas! lol.

Beside my work, I show u some of the beautiful latte art.

One of the easiest.

Basic, the heart shape.
(A customer asked me whether I can do that after she saw my latte art on picture 6)
nice one. the one who did this controlled the milk jug nicely!

a swan!
a dog? or an elephant?

Animals! This is sooo cute!
I seriously wish I can do it one day for the kids who stopped by!haha, but I nvr see little kids order hot drinks.
All came by for ice blended.
or maybe they'll do that after I master this?

Stop dreaming lim ee loe, you are not going to do that in a week or two.
Practise makes perfect!

Heard there is a malay guy from La Bodega is quite good in that. hmm.
Will ask him stop by to teach us!
