so this happened to my 2 months old iPod touch.

It slipped away from my hand, fell on the hard & rocky road, faced down, with no screen protector. It was dark at the area, with dimmed lights. I picked it up, flashed the light on it and jaw dropped. The screen broke, cracked & partly shattered. Part of my heart broke along. I was very sad.


Luckily I'm optimistic enough to think it's not a big deal. Everything works just fine except the glass panel. The world news of the moment is Japan & the earthquake. Compared to them, my case is just as small as an ant.

As usual, went Google to see what can I do. Saw videos of DIY changing the glass panel but it is tricky and difficult for me. So I decided to check out some stores and get the best price to fix it.

I went the mac repair in BSC, they offered me RM300 and will be done in 3 working days. I thought I could get a better price because my online search result said it can be done under RM200 (in US. In addition, US Apple store will change it for FREE if it is under WARRANTY. like WTF??)

Then jia yang accompanied me to Low Yat plaza & checked out some repair shop. They all gonna charge me RM400++, done in an hour. Repair guys from Low Yat forum offered around that price too. So, no deal!

Eventually I sent it to mac repair and it took 2 weeks to repair instead of the 3 days as promised earlier. It's okay, everything is over for now.
My iPod touch is back, clean & beautiful as new. Although there's some visible scratches at the border but it's tiny enough for me to ignore it.


Lesson learnt, don't ever drop your iPhone/iPod touch on rough/tough/rocky surface!
I mentioned iPhone because.....hehehehe.
