That's insane because that isn't a price from a high class restaurant but average from middle-class restaurant. How could a normal office worker afford it!
So that's the value of a lunch of a city ranked No 2 of World's Most Expensive Cities, and the most expensive lunch among all the cities.
Top of the list is Tokyo but the lunch is slightly cheaper. Their over-priced grocery made them on top of the list. While going through the list, measured with cost of living, I was quite surprised that Norway cities took 2 places in the list, Switzerland (Genava & Zurich both are familiar to me, always see them in newspaper and Zurich Bank! Bern and Basel which I never heard ranked 11th and 12th.) took 2 too, and Japan, fuh, FOUR (Tokyo, Nagoya, Yokohama and Kobe....beef! ).
But I seldom heard poverty problems from the Nihonjins so I guess the nations are quite wealthy over there. Earn enough to cover their high expenses. I tear on Japan's past, Google on how bitterly unmerciful they were on treating their hostage, ironically I smile on their recent 20 years Ghibli's, Detective Conan, Departures, Chibi Maruko Chan, music, sushi and their culture.
My parents don't encourage me to travel to Japan no matter how awesome this country are.
City where produced CNBlue, 2AM, RAIN, SNSD gee gee gee oh oh oh run run run (kpop fans will get this), 2NE1, BEG, BIG BANG and the whole kpop, Seoul is No 20. Not bad, even higher than Big Apple New York which ranked at No 29 !
KL is somewhere in the middle of the list. We can still feel pleased for that but I guess it'll leap next year as the government starts to cuts subsidies here and there. Cost of living will rise to a level that chokes us.
Reason of cutting is to lower the budget of government. Hilarious right?! If the greedy phyton politicians stop the corruption, the government is now a rich one instead of the current one. Sarcatiscally, I heard from the news that the gov is facing deficits every year.
Can someone tell me what's the name of the report where some fair non-politician analyze the government's financial?
Then they always found out there's shocking huge amount to money missing, to somewhere unknown. And also over budgeted projects by different departments.
They made these ugly cases known to the public, then media starts to accuse and question, the news will last for few days on the cover, few more days in a section of inner pages and you'll see commentors writing forums for newspaper about this topic, then some big people explain their explanation. In the end we still don't know where all the money gone.
Victim of the missing figures? The people who worked hard, pay all the taxes and losing their subsidies.
Okay, writting this because I am thinking how much I shall earn to cover all the expenses and live well because I'll be working in about 3 years time. Better let me strike a first prize TOTO before that.
